Safe Exit

Holiday Gift Box Program

It is that time of year again for La Casa's Holiday Gift Box Program and we need your help to continue this tradition! La Casa works to provide a meaningful holiday experience for all of our clients and we know the joy it brings survivors to receive thoughtfully purchased holiday gifts from their community. Keeping the safety of the La Casa community in mind, we have designed this year’s program for online gift purchases to be shipped directly to La Casa.

This year we have approximately 300 survivors who will be actively receiving community support services from La Casa through the holidays and who will be participating exclusively in our holiday gift box program. Committing to fill this need means purchasing and preparing a gift box for at least one of these survivors. We ask that all gift boxes include a bath and body set, a $25 Safeway e-gift certificate, $25 Target e-gift certificate, and gift bag with tissue paper. On average, each gift box will cost around $75.

La Casa Stands Against Racist Violence and Supports the C.R.I.S.E.S Act

Statement from La Casa de las Madres Standing Against Racist Violence, and Supporting the C.R.I.S.E.S Act

La Casa de las Madres believes all people deserve to build their lives free from abuse and fear. We believe all forms of violence are connected, and that speaking out against discrimination and structural racism is a central part of the work we do to support survivors of domestic violence everyday.

When we stand in solidarity with black leaders and communities closest to the harm, we build a world in which calls for accountability and safety for all people are the norm.

This is why we support the C.R.I.S.E.S Act -- a piece of legislation that builds capacity for community-based responses to violence and creates more opportunities for survivors of domestic violence and our most vulnerable community members. To learn more about the C.R.I.S.E.S Act, click here.

When we uplift survivors, center opportunities to heal, and seek out justice as a community, we are creating a culture in which violence of all forms no longer can exist.
