Executive Director
lUSERO ARIAS
Lusero Arias is the Executive Director of La Casa de las Madres, where she leads with deep compassion and a commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence and their families. She first joined La Casa as a volunteer in 2012, inspired by her lived experience as both a survivor of domestic violence and a child exposed to violence in the home. Since then, she has held a variety of leadership roles, drawing on her background in labor relations, finance, accounting, and mental health support.
Under her leadership, La Casa continues to provide survivor-centered services including emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, and prevention programming, while advancing approaches that recognize the lasting impact of violence on individuals, youth, and families. Lusero is passionate about building systems of care rooted in dignity, equity, and community healing.
She holds a Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of San Francisco, and is currently completing a Master of Public Health at Harvard University.
