Kathy Black

Kathy Black, former Executive Director of La Casa de Las Madres, was appointed by the Board of Directors in June 2026, as Interim Executive Director while the board conducts a search for permanent leadership.

Before retiring in 2023, Kathy served La Casa de las Madres for 26 years, helping guide the organization through periods of growth and challenge. During her tenure, she built strong relationships with community partners, government officials, media, funders, and donors; played a key role in strengthening the organization's financial foundation; oversaw the expansion of programs and services; and helped cultivate leaders who continue to advance our mission today. She brings a deep institutional knowledge and longstanding commitment to La Casa.
