Our Domestic Violence 101 presentations infuse participants with an understanding of the fundamentals of domestic violence. Topics covered include the dynamics of power and control inherent in domestic violence, the continuum of victims’ experiences of abuse, the cycle of violence, the reasons a person may stay in an abusive relationship, and the services available to survivors. Additional content areas can include strategies for supporting survivors, screening for domestic violence in medical and social service settings, and safety planning. Domestic Violence 101 presentations are available to service providers, corporate groups, student groups, and community members in wide-ranging settings.
