Direct Service Volunteering

Direct Service Volunteers provide support and resources directly to survivors of domestic violence and their communities. These volunteers staff our 24/7 crisis hotline, support clients at our confidential shelter and drop-in center, assist with children’s groups, support groups, community education, and more. Opportunities to teach or share skills with clients (yoga teacher certification, massage therapy, cooking, etc) are also available.

Requirements: Completion of the state-mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training and a background check, and commitment to 100 hours of volunteer work
