In addition to La Casa’s Adopt a Family Program, the following items are especially useful during the holidays:
- Gift cards to a grocery or department store (Safeway, Old Navy, etc.)
- Movie or theater tickets
- Hat, scarf, and glove sets
- Umbrellas
- Canvas shopping or tote bags
- Bath, hand, & face towel sets
- Writing journals
- Lotion & body wash sets
- Socks for adult women
- General art supplies
- Wrapping paper, bows, and ribbon
- Gift labels and tags
You may choose to gather your friends or coworkers and conduct a Holiday Item Drive for a fun way to share the holiday spirit. We can help you tailor a list of items like those above that our clients and/or programs need. Collect items specific to a group of our clients, or focus on one item which we need buckets of!
Alternatively, support La Casa by creating festive activity baskets that can be shared among participants in our many programs. Basket ideas include:
- Plain holiday stockings and decorating supplies
- Stocking stuffers for women and kids
- Cookie baking party baskets with supplies and playful accessories
- New Year’s Eve baskets with gift cards for pizza and DVD’s
