Open Positions

Direct Client Services: Staff who work in our Direct Client Services Programs provide services to domestic violence survivors through our drop in center, emergency shelter, 24-hour Crisis Line and off-site locations in partnership with other community programs. Successful employees are dynamic self-starters with a passion for ending the cycle of violence.

  • On-Call Per Diem Counselor: On-Call Per Diem Counselors are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable and supportive living environment for emergency shelter residents. In addition, this position will provide basic crisis intervention services.

  • Bilingual Family Advocate-Domestic Violence Response Team: The Family Advocate will work on-site at the Special Victims Unit of the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD-SVU) at 850 Bryant St and be available to the SFPD-SVU for service provision to domestic violence (DV) victims and clients in common, through coordination of advocacy and accompaniment services throughout all phases of the criminal justice and civil legal process.

  • Community Programs Manager: The Community Programs Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the provision of services to women, teens and their children in the community programs including: the Drop In Center, Teen Program, and the Domestic Violence Response Team. The Community Programs Manager will directly supervise program and project staff responsible for service delivery at the Drop-In Center, Hall of Justice – Special Victims Unit, and other locations throughout the community including schools, housing sites and other community based organizations as designated.

  • Case Manager-CalWORKs: The Case Manager – CalWORKs Program, under the direct supervision of the Community Programs Manager or her/his designee, will work on-site at the City and County of San Francisco’s Human Services Agency (HSA) office to increase safety for domestic violence survivors applying for or receiving CalWORKs welfare-to work plan services. The Case Manager will also work to increase the capacity of the San Francisco Department of Human Services (DHS) staff to respond to domestic violence, and increase the capacity of other community agencies providing services to CalWORKs clients.

  • Sr. Case Manager-CalWORKs: The Sr. Case Manager – CalWORKs Program, under the direct supervision of the Community Programs Manager or her/his designee, will work on-site at the City and County of San Francisco’s Human Services Agency (HSA) office to increase safety for domestic violence survivors applying for or receiving CalWORKs welfare-to work plan services. The Sr. Case Manager will also work to increase the capacity of the San Francisco Department of Human Services (DHS) staff to respond to domestic violence, and increase the capacity of other community agencies providing services to CalWORKs clients.

Administrative: Staff with Administrative, Finance, Development and Marketing, and Human Resources positions, provide professional support to the important work of ending violence in our community.

  • Development Associate-Social Media/Web and Event Specialist: The Development Associate serves as a key member of the Community Relations team, coordinating fundraising projects and events, cultivating community relationships, and providing support to ensure La Casa’s fund development activities are both efficient and effective. This role has an emphasis on social media and fundraising events.
