Leaving a Legacy: Planned Giving

Since 1976, La Casa de las Madres has been investing in the future of the San Francisco Bay Area by providing and increasing options for victims and survivors of domestic violence to embrace sustainable, violence-free lives.   This accomplishment is only possible with the support of a community that possesses the foresight and commitment to ending domestic violence for future generations.

We invite you to make a difference in the lives of tens of thousands of local women, teens, and children by making a planned gift.  Your investment in La Casa will insure that safety and comprehensive support services are available and accessible to local domestic violence survivors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  We work with each survivor to rebuild and strengthen his or her ability to affect change and to break the cycle of domestic violence.  We engage with the community-at-large to build awareness, inspire responsibility, and enact social change.  Please explore our website for more information about La Casa’s multi-faceted intervention and prevention programs.

To help you select the best vehicle for your financial needs and charitable intentions, La Casa will be happy to send you a basic overview of life cycle support through:

  • Gifts of life insurance, retirement plans, or real estate
  • Charitable remainder trusts
  • Bequests
  • Stock transfers
  • Pledge payments

We also recommend that you contact your tax professional, attorney, or financial advisor to insure that you are getting the maximum tax and legal advantages allowed for your gift.  Finally, Leave A Legacy offers online information to demystify planned gifts and inspire people from all walks of life and income levels to think beyond their lifespan when doing good works.

Please contact us for personalized assistance.  La Casa’s development department will welcome inquiries about planned giving, gift vehicles, and advisors at 415-503-0500 or .

We’ll also be grateful to know of your plans.  Knowing your charitable intentions allows us to honor your generosity and forethought–and your commitment to ending domestic violence for future generations can encourage others to do the same.  Contact us at 415-503-0500 or .

With our mission-driven fervor, smart expenditure strategies, community advocacy and your dedicated support, La Casa builds and supports solutions to repetitive cycles of violence.  1 in 4 women need not experience domestic violence in her life time.  9 of 10 Bay Area adults already believe we should “speak out against violence when we see it.”  Need is high, but change is already underway.  Consider your planned gift and help us build a non-violent future today.
